The registration was opened on 20 April 2024 and individuals can submit UGC NET 2024 Exam Application till 11:59 PM on 15 May 2024.
The fee in connection with UGC NET 2024 Exam Application submission can be paid from 16th May 2024 to 17th May 2024 (Upto 11:59 P.M.) as per the latest schedule.
Registration fee can be paid till 11:59 PM on 17 May 2024. The corrections in the UGC NET 2024 Exam Application can be done from 18 to 20 May 2024

The date for announcing city exam center and downloading admit card will be informed later. The exam will be conducted on 18 June 2024 as per the changed schedule.
Registration Fee
Candidates have to pay Rs 1150 while submitting UGC NET 2024 Exam Application if they are General or Unreserved category. The same is Rs 600 for candidates from General-EWS/OBC-NCL categories.
UGC NET 2024 Exam Application submission fee is Rs 325 for candidates from SC/ST/PwD and Third Gender categories.
About the exam
The full name of the exam is University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test. It is conducted by National Testing Agency two times a year.
The first time, it is conducted in June and December for the second time. Individuals who wish to pursue research (Ph.D., Junior Research Fellowship, JRF) or apply for the post of assistant professor in various colleges located across India can apply for the exam.

Individuals who wish to submit UGC NET 2024 exam application must have passed post-graduation in their respective disciplines from a recognized educational institution located anywhere in India.
Students who are appearing for the final year exams of their qualifying degree or who have appeared and are waiting for the results can also submit UGC NET 2024 exam application.

2. Once the website is ready, candidates can click the button for UGC NET June 2024 Registration/Login
3. Clicking the above link will open another webpage with URL ‘https://ugcnet.ntaonline.in/’
4. Once the webpage with above URL opens, candidates have to register to create an account with a username and password.
5. After creating the username and account, they can type the same URL ‘https://ugcnet.ntaonline.in/’ in their browser and submit it to download.
6. Once the website with above URL is available, candidates can login and start filling the UGC NET 2024 exam application form.

When to submit UGC NET 2024 exam Application?
The candidates can submit UGC NET 2024 exam application two times in a year. The first time the application can be submitted in March and the exam will be in June.

Those who are willing to appear in December can submit application in September or October of that year.
How to download the hall ticket?
The process to download the hall ticket for the exam is online. Candidates have to visit the official website for it at ‘https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/’
1. The URL mentioned above has to be typed into the browser and submitted to allow it to download.
2. Once the website is available, candidates can click the link for downloading the admit card.
3. Clicking the link will likely open another webpage, when that opens, candidates can enter their application number, date of birth and other details and submit them to obtain the admit card.
Point to remember
Applicants who have successfully completed their UGC NET 2024 exam application submission process will alone be able to download the hall ticket.
Students after viewing the admit card can check for the presence of errors on it. If there are no errors, they can download and take its printout.
In case of errors, they can take it to the notice of authorities concerned for rectification.
