CEED 2026 Application submission without late fee is on till 31 October 2025 at ‘https://ceedapp.iitb.ac.in/CEED/home.jsp’ Registration started on 1 October 2025.
Candidates interested in studying MDes – masters in design or pursuing doctorate in design can take up CEED 2026 Application Submission. There is more to it than meets the eye.
CEED 2026 Application Submission Schedule
CEED 2026 Application without late fee can be submitted from 1 to 7 November 2025.
CEED 2026 Application submission can be done with a late fee of Rs 500 from 1 to 7 November 2025. The admit card will be available for download from 2 January 2026 onwards.
The last date to correct mistakes in the hall ticket is 8 January 2026. The exam will be conducted on 18 January 2026 9 am to 12 noon. The results will be announced on 4 March 2026.
Participating institutions
Candidates who submit CEED 2026 Application and pass the exam with required qualifying marks can apply in these participating institutions – IIT Bombay (IDC School of Design).
The other participating institutions are IIT Delhi (Department of Design), IIT Guwahati (Department of Design), IIT Hyderabad (Department of Design), IIT Jodhpur (Department of Design), IIT Kanpur (Design Programme), IIT Roorkee (Department of Design).
IIITDM Jabalpur (Design Discipline), IIITDM Kancheepuram (School of Interdisciplinary Design and Innovation) are also the participating institutions.
Mahindra University, Hyderabad is the CEED 2025 result sharing institute.
After exam
Candidates who pass CEED 2026 exam with required qualifying scores can apply separately to each of these participating institutions.
After the results, candidates can begin visiting the websites of the participating institutions to know the schedule and then submit applications for admission.
About the exam
CEED is known as Common Entrance Exam for Design, it is a national level exam and is being conducted by IIT Bombay. It is conducted once every year and CEED 2026 is meant for admission into post graduate or doctorate courses in the field of design for year 2026.
The exam has two parts – Part A and Part B. Part A is a computer based test and answers have to be recorded on a computer screen at the test center.
Duration to answer questions in Part A is one hour and total score for this is 150. Part B is a test for two hours, where the total marks are 100.
Questions will be asked on a computer screen and candidates have to put a tick in the box meant for it against each question and write answers for them in a separate booklet provided at the test center.

CEED 2026 Application Submission Eligibility
Candidates who have passed graduation in any discipline can submit CEED 2026 application. The applicants can preferably be graduates in Design (B Des), though not compulsory.
Even those who are appearing for their final degree exam can submit CEED 2026 application. Students who have appeared and are waiting for their final exam results can also submit CEED 2026 application.
However, they have to pass the qualifying exam and provide a proof for it by the time of admission.
CEED 2026 Application Submission Process
The process to submit CEED 2026 application is online and it can be done on the official website of the exam ‘https://ceedapp.iitb.ac.in/CEED/home.jsp’
1. The URL mentioned above has to be typed into the browser and then submitted to allow the website to download.
2. Once the website is ready, candidates have click INFORMATION BROCHURE button to know everything about the exam and CEED 2026 application submission process.
3. They can click REGISTER to submit CEED 2026 application.
4. Clicking the above button will open another webpage with URL ‘https://portal.iitb.ac.in/CRP/index.jsp?appid=17’
5. Once the webpage with above URL opens, candidates can register to create an account with username and password.
6. After creating an account, they can comeback to the webpage with URL ‘https://ceedapp.iitb.ac.in/CEED/home.jsp’ and click LOGIN located next to REGISTER.
7. After login, candidates can start filling the CEED 2026 application.

Admit card
Those who have successfully completed their CEED 2026 application process can alone download admit card. Hall tickets aka admit card can be downloaded from the official website. The process is mentioned below:
- Candidates have to visit the official website ‘https://ceedapp.iitb.ac.in/CEED/home.jsp’
- At the website, they have to click the link for downloading admit card.
- After clicking the link, they can enter the details like application number, date of birth and submit them to view the hall ticket.
- Once the hall ticket is visible, they can download it and take a printout.
