
Woman techies can prove their mettle – Google is inviting applications from women undergraduate women students for its Techmakers Scholars Program (WTMSP). The same programme was formerly known as Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship Program. And, Google is taking ahead the vision of Dr Anita Borg of establishing gender equality in the field of computer science through this programme.
Google will choose undergraduate students from the whole lot of applications it receives and provide them scholarships based on the strength of each candidate’s passion for technology, leadership ability and academic background. The applicants winning scholarships will also be provided an opportunity to take part in various programmes at Google.

The applicant must be a first or second year graduate student in any recognized university or educational institution. The student must be studying computer science, computer engineering or any other technical field which is closely related to it. The applicant must have good academic record and also passion for technology.

The link above is active now and has an application form which must be filled and uploaded before last date of 30 April and all forms must be uploaded before 11:59 (SGT) of April 30.
