UCEED 2026 Registration is open till 31 October 2025 with no late fee at ‘https://www.uceed.iitb.ac.in/2026/’ Candidates who wish to apply can submit the application.

The application submission for the exam was opened on 1 October 2025, this is the exam being conducted for the admission in the year 2026.

UCEED 2026 Registration Schedule

UCEED 2026 registration will be taking place between 1 to 31 October 2025 without paying late fee.

Registration with late fee can be done from 31 October to 7 November 2025, as per the sources.

Those who have completed UCEED 2026 Registration can start downloading admit card for the exam from 2 January 2025 onwards.

UCEED 2025 exam will be conducted on 18 January 2026 from 9 am to 12 pm, according to sources.

The full name of the exam is Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design and is popularly known by its shorter version UCEED. It is a national level exam conducted once every year.

UCEED 2026 is meant to be conducted for next year to admit students into BDes course in IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur.

The test has two parts – Part A and Part B, Part A is a computer based test where questions have to be answered in a computer screen at the test center.

Part B is a test held in offline mode, where questions have to be answered on a separate answer sheet provided at the test center. The duration to answer questions in Part A is two hours and the same for Part B is one hour.

Candidates who have passed plus two from a recognized educational institution located anywhere in India can take up UCEED 2026 Registration.

Applicants can pass plus two in any stream – arts, science, commerce or humanities. Even those who are about to appear for their qualifying exam or who have appeared and are waiting for the results can also take up UCEED 2026 Exam Registration.

However, these candidates have to pass the qualifying exam and provide a proof for it by the time the admission process commences. There is more to it than meets the eye.

1. The URL mentioned above must be typed into the browser and then submitted to allow the website to download.

2. Once the website is ready, candidates can click Information Brochure to know about UCEED 2026 Registration process and other details.

3. After knowing about the exam, applicants can click Registration Portal button to apply.

4. Clicking the above button will open another webpage with URL ‘https://uceedapp.iitb.ac.in/UCEED/home.jsp’

5. Once the webpage with above URL opens, candidates can click REGISTER button and that will open another webpage with URL ‘https://portal.iitb.ac.in/CRP/index.jsp?appid=18’

6. After the webpage with above URL opens, candidates can register and create an account with username and password.

7. After creating an account, they can login and then start UCEED 2026 Exam Registration.

UCEED 2026 Registration Fee

UCEED 2026 Registration fee is Rs 2000 for women candidates in all categories, the same for those in SC, ST, PwD categories is Rs 2000.  For others, UCEED 2026 registration fee is Rs 4000.

Applicants from SAARC nations have to pay USD 200 as UCEED 2026 registration fee. The same for the applicants from non-SAARC nations is USD 250.

Foreign nationals who are holders of OCI/PIO cards issued BEFORE 4 March 2021 can pay UCEED 2026 Registration fee of Rs 4000 and the same for women and PWD category foreign applicants with same card is Rs 2000.

After Registration

Candidates who have completed their UCEED 2026 Exam Registration can download their admit card which is also known as hall ticket. The process to download hall ticket is mentioned below:

1. The URL of the website ‘https://www.uceed.iitb.ac.in/2026/’ has to be typed into the browser and submitted to allow the website to download.

2. Once the website is available, candidates can click the link for the admit card.

3. Clicking the link for admit card download will likely open another webpage with another URL.

4. After the new page opens, candidates can enter their application number, date of birth and other details and submit them to obtain the hall ticket.

5. Once the hall ticket is visible, it can be downloaded and a printout can be taken.

After Exam

Those who have appeared for the exam and passed it with required qualifying marks, have to apply for studying BDes separately with each of the participating institution.
