TNTET 2020 exam – Candidates aspiring for teachers jobs in schools located across Tamilnadu have a happy news. The exam dates for TNTET 2020 exam have been announced. The dates have been released by Teachers Recruitment Board of Tamilnadu on its official website ‘trb.tn.nic.in’
Source say the exam is likely to be held on 27 and 28 June likely. The notification for this exam is likely to be brought out on 4 May. Though the dates for application of the exam is yet to be announced, sources say the date of the examination will be made known soon after the notification is brought out.
TNTET is quite popular across Tamilnadu. This is a test conducted to find out eligibility of candidates who are aspiring to teach children of classes I to VIII. The exam has two papers, while Paper-1 is for candidates who want to become teachers for I to V standards, Paper-2 is for those who wish to teach classes VI to VIII.

TNTET 2020 exam
The qualification for taking the exam is a pass in bachelor’s degree or a diploma in Education or a pass in bachelor’s degree or a diploma in Elementary Education. Candidates can take either one of the paper or both. However for candidates who take both papers have to pay the fees for both papers seperately.
Fee for one paper is Rs 500 and for two papers fee is Rs 1000 for General category candidates. For SC, ST, OBC and PWD category candidates fee is Rs 250 for one paper and Rs 500 for two papers. Using the TET certificate obtained after writing the exam, candidates can apply for teaching jobs in schools across Tamilnadu.
