Why Has NTA Re-Extended the Fee Refund Facility?
NTA first asked candidates to submit their bank account information so that the fee paid for the cancelled May 3 examination could be refunded directly to their accounts. The correction window was subsequently reopened after candidates reported problems such as incorrect bank account numbers and IFSC codes.
According to the public notice issued on July 7, only about 10,28,223 candidates had confirmed or updated their bank details at that stage. NTA stated that it had already started processing refunds for those candidates.
However, as many students had still not completed the process, the agency extended the portal once again. The latest deadline is July 14 at 11:50 PM. Candidates who have not yet submitted accurate bank information should complete the process well before the portal closes.
Who Is Eligible for the NEET UG 2026 Fee Refund?
The refund facility is intended for candidates who paid the examination fee for the NEET UG 2026 examination conducted on May 3, 2026.
Because that examination was cancelled and a re-examination was conducted on June 21, NTA committed to refunding the examination fee paid by the affected candidates. Students should ensure that the account entered on the portal is active and capable of receiving the refund.

Re-NEET 2026 Final Answer Key

How to Calculate the Expected Re-NEET Score
Candidates can calculate an estimated score after matching their recorded responses with the answer key:
- Add four marks for every correct answer.
- Deduct one mark for every incorrect answer.
- Award zero marks for an unanswered question.
The formula is:
Expected NEET score = (Number of correct answers × 4) − Number of incorrect answers
The calculated score will remain provisional until NTA publishes the result because the final answer key may contain changes based on accepted objections.

Candidates awaiting the OMR sheet and final answer key should keep their application number and login details ready. They should check only the official NTA and NEET portals for announcements.
Students eligible for the examination-fee refund must complete the bank account confirmation process by July 14 at 11:50 PM. Waiting until the final few hours may lead to problems caused by heavy website traffic, OTP delays or incorrect bank information.
After the result is announced, qualified candidates will have to follow the Medical Counselling Committee and respective state counselling authorities for MBBS, BDS and other undergraduate medical admission processes.
