NEET UG 2025 Counselling State Wise is now the point of focus. This is about the process followed in various Indian states to provide MBBS admission.
NEET UG 2025 result was declared on 14 June 2025, post result declaration, counselling schedules were also opened.
Certain states in India have already commenced registrations for UG MBBS admissions, certain of them are yet to start.
Among the states to start are Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh. Kerala and Karnataka are among the states where the registrations are closed.

Seats in the medical colleges would be provided under two quotas – AIQ (All India Quota) and State Quota.
A total of 15 percent seats in medical colleges in India would be provided under AIQ, the rest (85 percent) will be given under state quota.
The counselling for AIQ will be conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) which comes under Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Government of India.
On the other hand, NEET UG 2025 Counselling state wise will be conducted by the respective authorities concerned of various states.
Candidates can choose to take part in AIQ or state wise counselling or both to obtain a seat in a medical college. While students from any state can apply in AIQ, the state counselling is mostly available for students of that respective state.

Applying for NEET UG 2025 Counselling State Wise
Students must have completed plus two from a recognized educational institution in science stream with biology, physics and chemistry as subjects.

What is state wise counselling?
This is the process conducted in every state of India to provide medical seats to students by the respective authority. NEET UG 2025 counselling State wise will be held in more than one round.
Candidates have to take up registration for each round of NEET UG 2025 Counselling state wise and then take up choice filling and locking.
Choice filling and locking is where the candidates get to choose colleges and course they wish to study there and then lock them. A list of chosen candidates (those who have been allotted a seat) is released.

4. Once webpage with different URL opens, candidates can register and create an account.
5. Candidates can login after creating an account and take up choice filling and locking at the appropriate time.
6. Required documents must also be uploaded while taking part in NEET UG 2025 Counselling state wise.
