IRDAI offers summer internship – Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDA) is inviting applications from eligible students who are studying graduate, post graduate or doctoral courses in well-known universities for summer internships.
The number of internship vacancies is 10, official link for knowing about the internship is ‘irdai.gov.in‘ Students who are in the pre-final year of their graduation or post graduation or students pursuing research (PhD) courses in Insurance, Economics, Finance, Management shall be eligible for the internship. The student must be a full-time student of the university, college where he or she is studying.

The location of the internship is Hyderabad and candidates must send an application along with a certification letter from the institute they are studying to ‘Executive Director (Gen), Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India Survey No.115/1, Financial District, Nanakramguda Hyderabad – 500 032′ on or before 5:00 pm of 24 March. The closed envelopes carrying the application must be superscribed with ‘Application for Internship.’
Candidates must also send a copy of the application to the email ‘internship@irdai.gov.in’ The internship will be of two or three months in duration and will provide training through project work in the field of insurance from a regulatory perspective.
The applications received will be analysed by a scrutiny committee and will be shortlisted. Applicants who are shortlisted will be called for a personal interview. Selections will be done after the interview, candidates who have been selected finally after the interview will be intimated.

Internship will be provided in various fields, the area of internship will be decided based on the aptitude of the candidate and his or her interest. The selected candidates will be offered a stipend of Rs 15,000 per month. Once the internship is over candidates have to make a presentation to heads of various departments in IRDAI and also submit a copy to the Human Resources department of IRDAI and its library also.
