
Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IIT-Jodhpur) invites applications for admissions into PhD programmes for academic year 2020. The aim of the programme is to develop graduates who have fine knowledge.

Applications are being invited for doctoral programmes in regular streams and inter-disciplinary streams.

Regular
Bioscience and Bioengineering, Chemistry, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Physics.
Interdisciplinary
Autonomous Unmanned Vehicle Technologies, Cognitive Science, Digital Humanities, Internet of Things and Applications, Quantum Information and Computation, Smart Healthcare, Space Science & Technologies.
Eligibility for IIT Jodhpur admissions
The eligibility for doctoral programmes varies with the type of the programmes. PhD programme is of two types one is regular and the other one is sponsored/external/part-time.
Regular
Candidates willing to seek in the regular type must be holding a regular post graduate degree with minimum of 60% pass marks in the relevant subject related to arts, humanities, social sciences, management, science and engineering. Pass percentage for SC,ST and Physically Challenged candidates can be 55%.

IIT Jodhpur admissions – The candidate can also have MBBS with MD/MS, BVSc with MVSc, BDS with MDS, BPTh with MPTh, BOTh with MOTh or equivalent. Also the applicant must not be a registered student in any other academic programme in India or abroad and must also not be a part time or full time employee of any organisation.
Sponsored/External/Part-time
The applicant must have a master’s degree in engineering, pharmacy, agricultural science, science, humanities, social sciences, management with at least 60% marks or at least 6.0/10 CPI or CGPA for General/General-Economically Weaker Sections/OBC and 55% or 5.5/10 CPI or CGPA for SC/ST/Physically Challenged candidates.

However, processing application will take place two times in a year. It is to be remembered that For Semester I, applications submitted by 15 April (15 October) will be taken for consideration.

IIT Jodhpur PhD admissions Application Fee
Applicants must also pay the application fee while submitting the application form. The fee is Rs 300 for general, general (economically weaker sections), OBC. SC, ST and Physically challenged candidates must pay Rs 150. Indian nationals residing abroad and foreign citizens have to pay Rs 300 as application fee.
