
IIM Lucknow celebrated its 41st Foundation Day on 27 July 2025. Celebrations were a grand affair in the presence of faculty, staff, students, and other distinguished guests.
One of the key highlights of IIM Lucknow Foundation Day celebration is the annual Foundation Day Lecture.

Ms. Neha Prakash (IAS). Director, Training and Employment, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and IIM Lucknow Alumna, Class of 2011, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Other dignitaries present during the event included Prof. M.P. Gupta, Director, IIM Lucknow, along with Prof. Sanjeet Singh, Dean (Faculty) and President of Employees Welfare Committee; Prof. Sanjay Singh, Dean (Programmes); Prof. Sanjeev Kapoor, Dean (Research); Prof. Sushil Kumar, Dean (Infra) & CAO, and other faculty members and staff.
Foundation Day address at IIM Lucknow
During her Foundation Day address Ms. Neha Prakash highlighted her transition from engineering and consulting to public service.
She acknowledged her learnings at IIML including analytical thinking, ethical grounding, and empathy, that shaped her leadership style.
Transformation
Emphasising the transformative role of accessible and data-driven governance, she said the transition from corporate boardrooms to district headquarters imparted a singular truth: a genuine leader, regardless of the domain, must serve individuals with empathy, be anchored in ideals, and maintain composure throughout adversity.

IIM Lucknow special activities
The 41st Foundation Day celebration at IIM Lucknow was marked by a series of special activities that highlighted the institute’s appreciation for its community and commitment to fostering a supportive environment:
Tree Plantation Drive: In keeping with IIM Lucknow’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, the institute organised a comprehensive tree plantation drive as part of the 41st Foundation Day celebrations.
This initiative saw enthusiastic participation from members of the IIML community.
Sports Competitions: Contributing to the 41st Foundation Day celebration of IIM Lucknow, the Institute organised multiple competitions for the IIM Lucknow community from 12th to 25th July 2025.
A prize distribution ceremony for the competition winners was conducted on 25th July 2025.
Distribution of Memento: The Institute recognised the dedication and long-standing service of Mr. A. Murali, System Analyst who completed 25 years with the institute.
Cash Awards for Meritorious Children: Demonstrating its support for academic excellence beyond its immediate community, IIML celebrated the achievements of 6 meritorious children of its employees.
Cash awards were distributed to these young achievers, acknowledging their outstanding academic performances.
Cultural Program and Prize Distribution: The Foundation Day celebrations concluded with a vibrant cultural program that showcased the diverse talents of the campus community.
Performances by campus children and Post Graduate Programme students highlighted the rich cultural tapestry of the institute.
The event concluded with a prize distribution to artists, children, and employees.

By recognising the contributions of long-serving employees, celebrating the academic accomplishments of the next generation, and showcasing the cultural talents of its students, IIML reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing a vibrant and inclusive community.
