IIM Bodh Gaya launches great 2 new MBA courses

IIM Bodh Gaya launched two new MBA courses and classes for both will likely start from AY 2023-24. New courses are MBA in Hospital and Healthcare management and MBA in Digital Business Management. These two academic programs were launched on Thursday (January 12, 2023).

It is interesting to note that IIM Bodh Gaya is the 16th of the Indian Institutes of Management and is located in Bihar. It was mentored by IIM Calcutta. IIM Bodh Gaya was named IIM Bihar, however, it was changed later.

This institution is one of the five IIMs set up by the 2014 Union Budget of India and the academic session for the first batch began after the inauguration by HRD Minister Smriti Irani on 31 August 2015.
It has hostels with all the necessary amenities for different sports like cricket, volleyball, football, table tennis, basketball, badminton, etc., and a fully equipped gymnasium.

MBA in Digital Business Management has been designed keeping in view the new age business agenda in mind. This is a two-year full-time residential program that aims to build business graduates who will be experts in domain-specific tracks such as analytics, fintech, digital marketing, and management consulting in digital business.

The innovative course curriculum has been co-designed with some top IT and analytics firms. MBA in Hospital and Healthcare Management is also of two-year duration and is a full-time program that is spread across six terms.

The program consists of a total of 108 credits. In the first year, students will undergo the majority of the core courses. In the second year, students can choose one track of specialization i.e. either ‘Hospital Management’ or ‘Healthcare Management.’

Admission process

Applicants willing to apply for these two courses have to first pass CAT Examination with the required qualifying marks to be shortlisted for Personal Interview (PI) process. The candidates have to perform well in PI and the final selection for the courses will take place based on performance in CAT, performance in PI, and the personal profile of the candidates.
