
GAT-B 2020 exam registrations are open till 18 June and interested candidates can apply for it. Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) located in Haryana is inviting applications from eligible candidates for Graduate Aptitude Test – Biotechnology, GAT-B.
GATB 2020 is an entrance test to determine eligibility of candidates to provide admission into various institutions that come under Department of Biotechnology (DBT) of Government of India and is conducted by RCB.

Based on the score in GAT-B 2020 candidates can apply for various courses that have support from DBT. The registrations for GAT-B 2020 exam has been opened on 1 June this year and will go on till 18 June.
Candidates willing to apply for GAT-B 2020 exam has to apply online. Applicants can visit the official website at ‘http://gatb.rcb.ac.in/’ and register and obtain username and password.
Once the username and password are obtained they can go ahead with the process of application for GAT-B 2020. Applicants have to pay the registration fee while applying for GAT-B 2020 exam.
The registration fee to be paid is Rs 1000 for candidates of general category and Rs 500 for candidates of SC, ST and Differently Abled categories.
GAT-B 2020 examination will be held on 30 June, admit cards for the exam will be issued on 25 June. The final rank list will be brought out on 20 July. GAT-B 2020 exam is of 180 minute duration (three hours).
Applicants must remember that GAT-B 2020 has two parts, namely Part-A and Part-B. Part-A of GAT-B 2020 exam has 60 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.
Each correct answer will get one mark, every wrong answer will lead to deduction of half mark. Part-B of GAT-B 2020 exam will have 100 multiple choice questions and candidates have to answer only 60.
Questions in Part-B will be from Basic Biology, Life Sciences and Biotechnology. Each correct answer will give three marks and incorrect answer will lead to deduction of one mark.
As there is negative marking GAT-B 2020 exam candidates have to exert caution while answering the questions.
Applicants for GAT-B 2020 exam have to submit only one application form with valid details. They should avoid submitting dummy applications.

A candidate who has either appeared or is due to appear in the final examination of their qualifying degree is eligible to apply for GAT-B 2020 under the result awaited (RA) category.
Such candidates will have to submit the attestation form duly certified by the Head of the Institute with stamp (with address and name) from where the candidate is appearing for the qualifying degree.
In case candidate cannot furnish the certificate due to COVID-19 situation, such candidates may submit the undertaking given on the website.
Candidates are advised to download and use the same formats for relaxation certificates/attestation format as provided on the homepage of the application portal.
To avoid last minute rush, candidates are advised to apply early for the exam. RCB will not be responsible for connectivity issues or any other problems at the last minute.
Applicants can go through the detailed notification on RCB website. The candidate must check the eligibility criteria before applying for the test.
Candidates should preview their application form before final submission. No request for change in the application form/test centre will be entertained after final submission of online application.
In case of non-payment of the application fee, candidate will not be allowed to appear for the test.
